North Star recruit BDM specialists for Fintech firms, Banking Tech and Financial Data vendors and Consulting firms in the UK and EU. We have been retained by a growing Fintech firm in Scotland to find a Business Development Manager.
Our client provides a smart platform for financial services businesses and institutions to streamline credit application processes and risk models (e.g. mortgages, credit / store cards, loans and overdrafts, car finance, on-line lending etc). The platform reduces the risk of fraud and provides value-added data sets to enhance customer vetting, KYC, regulatory compliance and provides new sales and marketing opportunities. It is a unique offering.
There is a light-touch KPI, no micro-management culture at the firm. The senior management team are approachable, knowledgeable, great fun and will work with you to get your pipeline off the ground. All of the senior team, including a high-profile CEO, are contributors.
The new BDM will be supported by first class Digital Marketing, Technical Presales and a great Customer Success/On-boarding team. The team is collegiate; ‘all in it together’ and always, ‘client first’.
To be considered for this job, you must have a demonstrable background selling credit and credit risk tools/platforms, or financial data, or specialist financial technology (e.g. SaaS), or closely related services and channels.
You will need to show relationships with relevant, senior decision-makers and budget holders at UK, North American or EU financial institutions. This is a new business role for a proven hunter.
As well as an attractive basic salary of £55,000 – 65,000, there is an uncapped bonus, equity in the business and a good benefits package. Year 1 earnings of £130,000 is very achievable.
